The mailbox mission – a Bible, a book, a newspaper to a neighbor or someone you know can be the start of a whole new life filled with hope!
Jesus came to bring hope and light! We can read in Isaiah 9:2: “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.” At different times, media such as books and newspapers have served as messengers of this message of hope.a ljuset stråla fram.
The Mailbox Mission wants to inspire people to share the good message about Jesus with neighbors, friends, and those closest to them. It requires very little, and everyone can participate.
Sweden
From May 23 to September 3, 2021, 208,000 copies of the Book of HOPE NT and 29,000 copies of the Book of HOPE for children were distributed throughout Hälsingland, Härjedalen, Jämtland, and Medelpad. About 80 congregations participated in packing and distribution. The Mailbox Mission has, as part of its operations, published the Book of Hope. It is an edition of the New Testament from Bible for The Nations.
During the summer of 2022, it is estimated that 325,000 copies of the Book of HOPE NT and 40,000 copies of the Book of HOPE for children will be spread throughout Ångermanland, Lappland, Norrbotten, and Västerbotten.
In 2023, 460,000 Bibles were distributed to Swedish households. 2024 presents a challenge to spread 600,000 New Testaments and 96,000 Children’s Bibles. Become a HOPE spreader! Speak hope, encourage, and see people, and pass on the Book of HOPE to others.

Perhaps you know people around you where you live, in your class, at your workplace, whom you are aware are struggling with darkness, illness, and trials. The Book of Hope is an excellent opportunity to systematically ensure that entire areas get access to the gospel. In the 19th century, this was a cornerstone of how the revival gained momentum. Colporteurs spread the Bible and people received God’s word all over Sweden.
